The project was technically very challenging. The opening introduction involved 3D modelling of waves and cloth dynamics. This was then placed into Apple Motion to add mist effects and then the output from that taken into After Effects to composite a mask over the top and add sound.
As much time went into fine tuning the performance of the flash as in building the actual components. As the map consisted of numerous vector images the scrolling was resource intensive. For this reason numerous tricks were employed to achieve performance on a base machine.
